LENGTH OF ASSOCIATION WITH COLLEGE RIFLES:

First contact in 1977 when elder brother Dave Murray started paying U21s at Rifles.

RUGBY INVOLVEMENT:

Started playing U21s in 1981, straight out of Selwyn College.

Spent 4 years in Christchurch where first played Senior rugby, returned to Rifles in 1986 and played Seniors/Senior Reserves until 1998 (estimated 200+ games).   

Then joined the mighty CROCS from 1999 to 2016.

INTERESTING FACTS: 

Was lucky to play in an era when regularly opposed Rep players and All Blacks.

First Senior game for Rifles was against Sean Fitzpatrick, Grant Fox, Jason Hewitt, Mata'afa Keenan, Nick Mantell, Steve Surridge et al.
