Premier Men v Waitemata @ Home 2:45pm
Our Premier men are back at home against Waitemata tomorrow. The team celebrated Otus Mausia’s 50th game with a “get out of jail’ win against Shadbolt, thanks to an intercept try by Patrick Pati in the 80th min. It was a patchy performance from the boys, but relieved to take away another win, especially in the hostile fields of Shadbolt Park. Tomorrow they face Waitemata, who are one of four teams still undefeated in the Gallaher Shield. Like our premiers, Waitemata snatched a last-minute victory against University to continue their winning streak. Mani has beefed the forward pack by recalling in Patrick Vaovasa from the Premier Development and Dex Faamoana who returns from a rib injury sustained from his last game against Ponsonby. Several injuries in our backs, means a reshuffled line up, where Tumua Manu released from the Chiefs bye week, while Nishikawa Vunipola makes his first start of the year, for Otu Mausia who is not available due to injury. Cameron Suafua makes his return to club rugby after being sideline with injury since playing for Auckland in last year’s Mitre 10 cup. Waitemata typically have a big forward pack with elusive backs, they have worked hard on their set piece and will look to assert their dominance up front. Head down to the club to catch the action.

Premier Development @ Home 1:00pm
Our premier development went down to Suburbs last weekend in a remarkably close encounter, marked by a serious injury to one of their players. Having led the game for majority of the match and wind firmly behind their sails, a lengthy stoppage took place after one of their players required medical attention after being injured in a tackle. This put play on hold for some time, and when game resumed, a fresh-looking Suburbs team, got themselves back into the game via a number of tries, culminating in a penalty conversion to win the 39-36. This is the first loss for the reigning champions, and they will be eager to get back into winning ways this weekend when they face Waitemata at home.
Premier Development:
Premier Women’s v Ponsonby Fillies @ Western Springs @1:00pm

Premier Development Women’s 10’s v Manukau Rovers @ Williams Park @1:00pm
The Falcons had a close loss to Eden over the weekend. Eden who were a Premier team in 2019, showed glimpses of that premier experience, snatching the game at the end to win 39-33. That experience in the end proved to be the difference, nevertheless, our Falcons is a team with a number of “new to the club” players including several school students, eager to get their teeth stuck into Women’s Club Rugby. This week they play away to Manukau Rovers at Williams Park.
Falcons:
